The range of activity covered the 2012- 2013 and 2013-2014 seasons included:

  • Stimulating innovation and cooperation in the Channel area
  • Sharing knowledge, practice and skills between the English and French sectors
  • Extending and increasing the professional network in contemporary dance
  • Enhancing the cultural attractiveness of the Franco-British Channel areas

DanSCe Dialogues 2 activity covered three categories

Research/experimentation

Research and creative laboratories and residencies will provide genuine creative development opportunities to French and English choreographers and collaborators. Venues, technical support and mentoring as well as an exchange of creative methods are part of the package.

Training/exchange of best practice

Exchanges of creative practice and new training methods will be encouraged through the creative laboratories offered to choreographers. There will also be 4 themed conferences and individual journeys through job shadowing or internships.

Programming/network development

Touring choreographic pieces, presenting new work at different stages, master classes, professional meetings… All these contribute to an improvement in the mobility of artists and their work, to the development of professional networks and to the promotion of our regions’ cultural richness.
