Associate Artists Programme – 2009-11

“These programmes are essential at the moment. They give artists the certainty that enables them to be brave. The endorsement also encourages partners to programme and investment in the work which is vital too.”
Eddie Nixon, Director of Theatre and Artist Development at The Place.

The Associate Artists Programme provides a high level of support for artists with a proven track record of producing dance. The programme enables artists to build solid foundations, test new ideas and develop plans and structures within a context of practical support, expertise and trust. Without predetermined outputs, each artist has received a tailor-made package enabling him or her to change and extend their practice in a positive way. Artists on our first Associate Artists Programme (2009-11) were Lucy Cash, Charlie Morrissey, Subathra Subramaniam and Ben Wright.
